CEYRAT VISIT 2016 DAY 2

DAY 2 (am) - CHATEAU de PARENTIGNAT

On Mon 25th July, we set off for this delightful 18th century chateau, dubbed "the little Versailles of Auvergne."

After a private tour of the exquisite rooms, we roamed the landscaped gardens and picnicked on the terrace by the orange and lemon trees.

In the afternoon we wandered round this Romanesque hilltop village.

Of course, it was necessary to stop for refreshments before going home.

(think Asterix the Gaul!).
